The Workday Wrap Up With Travis Freeman
Since day one your buddy Travis has been on in the afternoons with the Oldies 93 Workday Wrap-up. Playing the greatest hits of all time and having a lot of fun. He keeps your work day moving and it’s always fun to tune in on the ride home with the Drive at 5. Travis was the first employee hired at Sovereign Communications when it started, he was hired as Station Manager August 21, 2003.
What first got you into Radio and When?
My grandmother Freeman would listen to WJML out of Petoskey and was always fascinated with the business. Since I was a child I was always interested in radio broadcasting and just knew that this was going to be my career path.
What is the most useless talent you Have?
They tell me I’m kind-of good at music trivia.
Do you sing in the shower and what song?
No, I just play the hits…
If it wasn’t radio, what would you be doing right now?
Either helping community members in an elected office type of position or perhaps operating my own restaurant, I enjoy cooking.
Who is your favorite artist?
Can’t just list one…they’re so many. Best concerts include Def Leppard, Steve Miller Band, AC DC and Bob Segar.
What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Leave the gun take the cannoli
What is the best advice you’ve been given and who gave it to you?
Don’t worry about the things you can’t control, because it can affect the things you can…from Grandfather Freeman.
If you could wave a magic wand what would you change?
Helping sick children. Perhaps that’s why I’m a Shriner.
