Scott Legato/Getty ImagesMeek Mill reportedly had a hand with fellow rapper Juelz Santana‘s early release from prison.
According to TMZ, the rapper helped by connecting with Santana’s wife and Love & Hop Hop New York reality star, Kimbella, to ensure Juelz received the most beneficial plea deal.
Santana was released from prison last week after serving 19 months of his 27-month conviction for carrying a loaded gun as well as an illegal substance into Newark, New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport. He’s release will be supervised and will be subject to random drug tests every 15 days.
Thanks to Meek, the Dipset rapper was able to return home with his family, instead of to a halfway house. “I missed my family…GOD is good!!!” Juelz captioned a photo of him hugging his son on Instagram.
Since his release, Santana has been spending some much-needed time with his family, while looking for ways to work with non-profit organizations to help overturn wrongful convictions for prisoners.
TMZ also revealed Santana is planning to help push movies and films created by inmates on the inside, as well as working on new music and a television script he wrote.
