Def JamSwizz Beatz and Timbaland have officially announced the the next Verzuz battle: Jadakiss v. Fabolous.
Fans are excited to see two of New York’s hottest emcees trade hit for hit, though some would prefer they trade the best verse for verse.
Jadakiss announced the battle on Instagram, writing, “Back in the Zone this Monday…Gotta give the people what they want.” He also shared a photo of a jersey in New York Knicks colors that says: “Fab v Jada.”
Jadakiss has been in the game for quite a while, aside from his being a part of one of the legendary hip-hop groups, The Lox. On his own, Jadakiss has a playlist of hits including “Can’t Stop Me,” “U Make Me Wanna,” “We Gonna Make It,” “Knock Yourself Out,” his Grammy-nominated single “Why,” and more.
His latest album, Ignatius, earned a top 40 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, and featured the singles “Me” and “Kisses to the Sky.”
Fabulous has also seen his share of success, with hits like “Make Me Better,” “Can’t Let You Go,” and summer classics like “Into You,” “Throw It in the Bag,” “She Wildin” featuring Chris Brown, and more, including three Grammy nominations.
Collaboratively, Jadakiss and Fabolous released their project Friday on Elm Street in 2017.
The Jadakiss-Fabolous Verzuz battle takes place Monday, June 29th at 8.p.m. ET.
