On Monday, 50 Cent got a good laugh at Ja Rule‘s expense, trolling Ja over his hilarious viral commercial for a Greek restaurant in L.A. on Monday.
“This is what happens when you [mess] with me; I’ll have you and your whole label selling Gyro’s go ahead try me! “50 wrote in a now-deleted post captured by The Shade Room.
Now, you know 50 can’t resist the urge to be petty when it comes to Ja Rule, who was trending on social media over the weekend for the commercial promoting Papa Cristo’s Greek Grill.
Fans can’t figure out what’s funnier: Ja Rule dancing around in front of giant chunks of gyro meat rotating on spits while tossing pita bread in the air, or struggling to pronounce Greek foods like “tzatziki.”
One fan gave Ja Rule GOAT status for his video making its way to every social media platform.
“Shoutout to Ja Rule, his greek commercial was so funny and dope. That [man] a goat; that’s why he’s always the number 1 trending topic when he drops [people are] [a]sleep,” he tweeted.
Another tweeted, “Ja Rule better quit disrespecting John Witherspoon and bro’s ba-ba-barbecue,” while sharing a meme from Ice Cube‘s Friday After Next.
Despite laughs, Ja Rule confirmed that the commercial helped raise funds for No Kid Hungry, which is working to end childhood hunger. It also previewed his appearance on TBS’ upcoming game show Celebrity Show-Off, premiering on June 23. The show challenges celebrities to come up with compelling content using what they have around the house, and the star with the most views wins money for their charity.
