Interscope RecordsDaBaby’s new album Blame It On Baby arrives, proving the superstar’s versatility and ability to switch up his flow, similar to his previous single, “Find My Way.”
The album boasts a heavy-hitter lineup including Quavo, Future, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Megan Thee Stallion, to name a few, as well as his childhood crush, Ashanti.
“I got a song with Ashanti and Megan Thee Stallion. A lot of people don’t know, and Ashanti ain’t even know… she used to be my girlfriend,” DaBaby shared on Instagram ahead of the album’s release. “No cap,” he said, adding she used to “be my girl Back in, like ’04, ’05, swear to God.”
He said the track is “just another testimony of me being cut like that,” sampling Ashanti’s 2002 hit, “Baby.”
DaBaby tapped Megan again, claiming she’s the only female rapper than can go toe-to-toe with him and “still talk that ish,” following Fever‘s “Cash S***.”
He’s already calling “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch, a “hit record.” He tapped A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie for the London on the Track-produced track, “Drop.”
Blame It on Baby is available now.
